The HCFQG meets each second Wednesday of the month for a luncheon program pertinent to regulatory and infrastructure matters that influence Henry County's growth. Both membership in the Council and our meeting are open to the public.

As a member, you'll gain a thorough understanding of development issues that may affect your business. This is directly attributable to the Council's timely and effective response to emerging and current policy matters or industry trends. You'll be assured that the HCQG will monitor issues on a local, sate and national level. We will research issues as needed and report recommended actions to the entire membership.

Questions most frequently asked concerning memberships & luncheons:

Are there corporate memberships?
The are now two memberships within the HCQG that could be considered corporate; the Sustaining and Corporate levels. Otherwise, the individual is considered the member and not the company.

Are realtors eligible for the $250 additional member pricing?
Managing brokers or team leaders of Real Estate Companies must join at the $500 level. Additional or individual agents may join at the $250 level.

If the designated member leaves the company, can we appoint someone to take his/her place?
Many companies and businesses have turnover throughout the year. It is absolutely permissible to appoint a replacement should someone leave the company. The HCQG encourages you to contact the council office as soon as possible as the newly appointed member will be listed in the following month’s program.

If my boss is a member, why can’t I attend the luncheons at the member price?
All memberships within the HCQG are individual, except at the Sustainer and Corporate levels. If you work for a company who has a designated member, but you are not a member yourself, you are not eligible for the discounted luncheon fee.

What is the policy concerning luncheon pricing?
Monthly luncheons are held in order to provide educational and networking opportunities for our members. Luncheons are open to non-members, but first priority will always go to our members. Luncheon prices are $25 for members and $35 for non-members. There are no exceptions. If you come to a luncheon and do not have a reservation, we will make every effort to accommodate you, but those who have reservations will have first priority.

What is the policy regarding “no shows” and cancellations for the luncheon?
It is the goal of the HCQG to be good stewards of all monies we receive. When you make a reservation, the council is obligated to pay the necessary charges whether or not you attend. To that end, we have several steadfast rules concerning attendance:

· All cancellations must be made by 4:00 p.m. on the Monday before the Wednesday luncheon.

· All “no shows” will be invoiced. There will be exceptions for extenuating circumstances (i.e. illness, death in the family).

What is the deadline to make reservations for a luncheon?
It is the goal of the HCQG to accommodate as many members as possible at the monthly luncheons, however, we have a responsibility to those who prepare and serve the food. Council staff requests that you RSVP no later than 4:00 p.m. on the Monday prior to the Wednesday luncheon.

Luncheon meetings are highlighted by various speakers from around the county and state. Please help us plan for your attendance at monthly luncheon meeting by sending in your RSVP by the requested deadline.

Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm. Please contact us if you need to find out more about the Council or other membership information. The Henry Council for Quality Growth is a 501 © 6 non-profit. Membership is from January to December.
